Wedding faq’s

We are so excited to be part of your special day! As your trusted beauty team, we are always here to answer any questions or address any concerns. Due to the high volume of our business, we ask that you prepare a list of questions for our team in advance of your trial run or refer to the list of frequently asked questions below.

General

  • We have à la carte pricing for your ease of selection and pricing breakdown.

  • Yes, we can handle parties of any size!

  • Our team has a range of backgrounds including estheticians, cosmetologists, professional artists. Over 15 years in the beauty industry.

  • Yes, we carry insurance policies and can have a policy sent to your venue as needed.

  • 1-2 weddings per day.

  • We use medical grade sanitizer and disinfectant on all brushes/tools and one time use items for creams/mascaras. 

Makeup & Product

  • A variety of cosmetic products ranging from Ulta and Sephora brands to professional artistry lines. We also offer organic or vegan options by request. Additionally if there’s a special or favorite product from your personal collection, we may use that.

  • Yes! We are more than happy to use any items you would like to provide.

  • We do not sell products, however we have an Amazon affiliate link where we list our favorite products and bridal items.

  • Yes, for a charge of $15 per person

  • Yes we do for an additional $25 added to the makeup rate.

  • Traditional makeup application uses sponges and brushes to apply a custom blend of products to your skin. Airbrush makeup is sprayed on your face with an air gun. Both have all day wear. We typically recommend the traditional application as it is easier to customize face by face with different textures and colorings.

  • Absolutely, each artist has a background in all shades/textures.

  • Yes, we have products for all types and textures, however we often recommend a trial run for the mother of the bride/groom. This way she can feel comfortable with her look and not have concerns prior to the wedding day.

Hair & Tanning

  • You can find at our Amazon storefront.

  • We do not dry hair as a part of our services. Please have all party arrive with dry hair.

  • We offer spray tan services.

  • Yes! They can be very enhancing for day of wedding. We always recommend that you do a trial run of the spray tan prior to the wedding tan.

  • We do offer Airbrush spray tans for yourself and or your bridal party. Please inquire at your trial or via email for options. You will receive a discount as a bridal client.

Trial Run

  • We recommend 1-3 months out from wedding. We are available on weekdays, or the occasional weekend day as we will be on location at weddings most weekends.

  • There are select dates open for self booking of trial runs (only accessible if you are booked with us) or please email us at: Jori@blushbeautyroom.com to schedule a date/time.

    Fri-Sun are likely booked with weddings, unless nothing is booked on those days, in which case they would be open to trials.

  • Up to 1 hour per makeup and 1 hour per hair. Trials are done at our St Louis Park studio location.

  • We can! An extra fee will apply for more than one full look. Tweaks and changes to the look are included.

  • Yes! Veil, hair clips/combs, any clip in extensions, earrings, necklace. We recommend wearing a white or light colored top/dress to get a feel for the day of look.

Wedding Day

  • Have fresh clean skin and clean eyes free of all eye makeup. Skincare can be applied as you normally would. Hair should be clean and bone dry with no traces of moisture.

  • Bridal makeup: up to 45 mins. Bridal hair: up to 60 mins. Bridal party makeup: 30 mins. Bridal party hair: up to 45mins.

  • Typically 10-20 minutes before services start, depending on location and venue availability.

  • Yes, we will provide a schedule if both hair and makeup services are booked with us. For just makeup or just hair, we will provide a timeframe of services.

  • We will decide the number of artists/stylists needed based on timeframe for getting ready and availability of staff. If you would like to request more artists than we recommend, there will be an additional charge.

  • Yes! We can travel on location to your wedding venue, hotel or home.

  • $.75/per mile beyond studio radius.

  • Upon completion of the bridal party, we will pack up and make our exit. We do not stay for touch ups. Later in day touch up inquires can be made depending on location of services, fee starts at $150.

  • We have a large network of fellow artists/stylists. We would find a suitable replacement for your day of; our contract states that services will be provided.

  • We provide a touch up kit for day of touch ups.

Booking & Payment

  • See below!

  • After confirmation that your date is available:

    • Send us total number of people per each service

    • We will send you a quote

    • Once you sign agreement and make payment, you will be booked (a signature isn’t required for the document to be activated; payment of the reservation fee will suffice)

    • Go online and book trial run: if none of the dates fit, then please email us for requests 

    Remaining payment is due one week prior to the wedding.

  • Yes, a reservation fee is used to reserve the date. It is non refundable. 

  • In order to complete your booking, half of the total balance is collected up front. The remaining payment is due 7 days prior to the event.

  • 7 days prior to the wedding day.

  • After the initial payment of half the total balance, you are able to make payments in any amount up until 7 days prior to the wedding date.

  • You are able to cancel at any time. The reservation fee is non refundable. Any weddings cancelled within 30 days of the event will be billed in full. 

  • You are able to add or subtract services up to 2 people without penalty no less than 30 days prior to event.

  • Yes, additional artists/stylist start at $100.

  • Yes, for any charged ramp. Fee will be invoiced after services are completed.
